Illinois Comptroller Warns Of Late Pension Payment
Retired state workers across Illinois will get their checks on time, but the state's comptroller says Illinois may be late in making its payment on their pensions. Comptroller Leslie Munger yesterday said the state doesn't have the cash on hand to make October's 600-million-dollar pension payment. Munger postponed last October's payment as well. She says Illinois' cash flow drops in October and November.
