Pastors Sue Over Illinois' Ban On "Gay Conversion Therapy"

A group of pastors is challenging an Illinois law banning so-called "gay conversion therapy."  Governor Rauner signed a bill last year that bars any mental health providers from engaging in treatment aimed at changing minors from gay to straight.  The group Pastors Protecting Youth filed a federal lawsuit yesterday that claims the law restricts a pastor's right to free speech and religious freedom.  It also argues the legislation takes away a young person's ability to make personal choices regarding their own sexual identity.
