Another ally of Governor Rauner in the Illinois General Assembly is stepping down. The "Chicago Tribune" reports state Senator Matt Murphy plans to resign on Monday. The Palatine Republican believes it is time to leave and help out his family. The move comes less than a month after Ron Sandack resigned from the Illinois House, citing "cyber security issues."
