Illinois State Police Looking Into Peoria Police Shooting
Investigators with the Illinois State Police are asking for anyone with information about a Peoria police shooting to please come forward. Troopers got involved in Eddie Russell Jr.'s shooting last week. Peoria Police say they had no choice but to shoot Russell after he came at them with a gun last month. Russell's family says police knew that he had a history of mental illness, and they say officers could have avoided shooting him. State Troopers say they're looking for anyone who may have more information or insight into the case.
