Sorensen Sentenced to One Year in Prison on Wire Fraud Charges

It's one year in prison for former McLean County Board Chairman Matt Sorensen. U.S. District Court Judge Ronald Guzman handed down the sentence Tuesday in Chicago. Sorensen pleaded guilty to wire fraud charges back in November to conspiring with co-defendant Navdeep Arora to defraud a Chicago consulting firm of unearned consulting fees. According to terms of the plea agreement, Sorensen and Arora are responsible for restitution of $490,975 to that company.
