Bloomington City Council: Of Signs and Sewers

Signs and sewers were the hot topics at Bloomington's city council meeting Monday, again without Mayor Renner. The Bloomington council got the chance to see designs for new way-finding signs for the city's downtown on Monday. The signs will help visitors navigate the city's center, pointing them to local attractions and parking.  At a special session, Public Works Director Jim Karch proposed a gradual fee increases for sewer and storm water over five years.  Council members are split over whether the increase should come sooner, so the work can be done more quickly.
