Federal Court: Election Day Registration Can Resume

Illinois' largest counties can once again register voters at the polls on election day. For now. A federal appellate court yesterday overruled a lower court judge. Republicans sued, saying Illinois' 2014 law that only allows election day registration in counties with more than 100-thousand people is unfair. Illinois' Attorney General says the latest decision clears the way for new voters to cast a ballot on election day.
