Illinois Lawmakers Talk About Consolidation

As Illinois lawmakers talk about how to better pay for schools in the state, there's growing pressure to have fewer schools.  Illinois has nearly 860 school districts, half of them average less than 530 students.  State Rep. Bob Pritchard says taxpayers could save money by consolidating some districts.
But he's quick to say many voters want to keep their local schools intact.
