Former ISU Student Cleared in Rape Case

24-year-old William Wells--a former Illinois State University student-- was acquitted of sexual assault charges Friday in McLean County. Wells was accused in February of raping a woman at his Normal apartment. At the time, Wells was at ISU and the 18-year-old woman was visiting for the weekend from a college. The two were romantically involved at the time.
