Fire destroyed a two-story house and a car parked next to it Monday afternoon west of Bloomington at 8778 E. 1350 North Road. The fire was reported around 3pm but was under control about 6:30 p.m. Dale Township firefighters stayed at the scene after 9 p.m. to clean up and secure the scene. No injuries were reported. The cause of the blaze and damage estimate has not yet been released.
