Bloomington Downtown Task Force Meeting is On Again
Bloomington Mayor Tari Renner is calling a special council meeting with the Bloomington Downtown task Force next week. It comes after the council voted 5-4 Monday to cancel a work session with them. The group was expected to talk about combining a bus station with a new library in the downtown area, as a possible catalyst project to drive visitors. It is one of the Downtown Task Force's recommendations to help revitalize the area. Some alderman have said they're not interested in moving forward with the idea, and are disappointed the meeting is rescheduled.
