Renner Town Hall

Bloomington's first Town Hall Meeting touched on attracting people to the community, to the council's budgeting. But it wasn't without its tense moments. Early in the meeting Sue Feldcamp asked Mayor Tari Renner to apologize to Bruce Meeks, with whom  he's had a dispute in the past, in order to bury the hatchet. The dispute went back to comments the mayor made in an email. Renner said he didn't remember what was said, but offered to shake hands. Meeks, declined which lead to a tense exchange. There were other heated moments throughout the night, dealing with the budget and previous council decisions. Renner will hold two more town hall meetings. The next one will be Tuesday December 12, from 5:30-7:00 at the BCPA.
