Illinois Taxpayers To Pay Blended Income Tax Rate

You're going to be paying more income taxes in Illinois this tax season, but not as much as you could have. The Illinois Department of Revenue yesterday announced a 'blended' income tax rate of four-point-three-five percent for taxes due in April. That's higher than the tax rate to start 2017, but less than the four-point-nine-five percent personal income tax rate approved by lawmakers back in July.
