Bloomington Looks To Change Credit Card Policy

City leaders in Bloomington aren't saying if plane tickets for the mayor's girlfriend will be on the new list of acceptable expenses that they are writing. Council members last night said they want to formalize a policy on what is and what is not an acceptable use of taxpayer money. The move comes after the Illinois State Police launched an investigation into how Mayor Tari Renner's girlfriend got to tag along on a Sister Cities trip to Japan back in May. The mayor says his girlfriend reimbursed the city for the trip, and that no one broke any laws.
