Illinois is not waiting for the first flakes to fall to get snowplow drivers on the road. The Illinois Department of Transportation last week said it's looking to hire winter road crew members. If you're interested, you need to get an application into the state by next week's deadline. All drivers must have a valid CDL and be able to pass a number of pre-employment checks and tests.
