Normal is giving Amtrak an even better deal than before. Town leaders last night agreed to buy Amtrak a 27-thousand-dollar electric vehicle that'll be used to move passengers from one side of Uptown Normal's train tracks to the other. Normal's Mark Peterson said Amtrak can't afford the vehicle on its own. Normal is also picking-up the cost of rent for Amtrak at the new Uptown Station and is considering a 12-million-dollar underpass at the station as well.

Normal to Buy $27K E.V. for Amtrak
Normal is giving Amtrak an even better deal than before.
