Route 66 Visitor Center Sees Fifty Percent Increase in Visitors, May Prompt Extended Hours

Over 27,000 people stopped by the McLean County Museum of History last year to visit the Route 66 Visitor Center. It is a fifty percent increase compared to the just over 18,000 from the previous year. Because of the boost, they are considering adding Sunday hours. The plan would include opening from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. during the summer to see how many visitors are interested.
