Mark Daniel told Cities 92.9 yesterday that he truly believes it's a matter of time before schools in Illinois can't open. Daniel says his district has been spending money it doesn't have on things that the state of Illinois is supposed to pay for, like school buses. Daniel says lawmakers must get something done before the end of the year. He said Unit 5 schools have just half a year's cash on hand.
