The fight over the end of the Metro Zone may be headed to court. It may have always been headed to court. Bloomington Mayor Tari Renner yesterday said Normal threatened to sue to keep the Metro Zone in place back in 2014. Renner says the city of Bloomington isn't an untrustworthy partner. The Metro Zone is just a deal that's outlived its purpose. The mayor says he hopes Bloomington and Normal can still work together on things like public safety and Connect Transit.
