Home Health Care Worker Overtime Bill Headed To Governor's Desk

Illinois legislators are asking Governor Bruce Rauner to reconsider his stance on overtime pay for home health care workers.  A measure passed yesterday would allow the aides to get the overtime money for working more than 40 hours per week, in accordance with a new federal rule that kicks in next year.  The bill goes to Rauner's desk, but he moved to limit how much overtime workers can collect earlier this year in order to save the state money.  The union representing the workers protested, saying it hurts the disabled people served by the workers.
