Lovie Smith is now the best paid employee at the University of Illinois. The school yesterday approved a six year, 21-million dollar contract for the new football coach. This new version of the contract moves up two-million dollars - the money was part of nearly ten-million for Smith at the end of his deal. The U of I won its first football game of the year last week.
