Governor's Office, AFSCME Both Claim Victory In Contract Ruling
Both Governor Bruce Rauner and the American Federation of State, Municipal, and County Employees are claiming victory after a ruling on their long-stalled contract negotiations. An administrative judge last week ruled the governor's office has bargained in good faith, but also said the state could be more forthcoming with information for the union. The judge refused to declare an impasse. The judge told both sides to talk some more. Negotiations over a new contract are now more than a year old.
