Registration Reminders Coming Back
The office of Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White announced yesterday that he has reinstated the mailing of vehicle registration reminders to Illinois drivers.
Illinois stopped sending reminders last fall due to the budget impasse. The state collected more than $9.9 million in fines since then, which is already more than double of all of last year.
The change goes into effect immediately. White is asking people to sign up for e-mail notices to reduce mailing costs.
