The City of Bloomington is taking steps to create a TIF district in the downtown area.A TIF district provides tax incentives to help draw in business development to a certain area. Monday, the city council set a hearing for next month, or order to hear public feedback. It would cover several buildings, including the Front N' Center building, the Commerce Bank building, and the Elks Lodge.
The public hearing will be next month, on September 8.
