U Of I Student Governor Wants New Mascot

There is a new push to get a new mascot at the University of Illinois.  The Illinois Student Government met last night to talk about a resolution to ask for a committee to study a way to get a new mascot.  The school's old mascot, The Chief, has been retired since 2007, but some students say the legacy of The Chief lingers and still carries racist undertones.  The students, however, don't have any suggestions for a new mascot
